Google announced a press conference for January 5th during which many believe it unveil the Nexus One. News of the announcement comes on the heels of T-Mobile telling its employees to prepare for the launch of the new smart phone in a memo. While T-Mobile will carry the phone, it has been reported that the Nexus One will be available unlocked and ready for the consumer’s choice of a network.


Hewlett-Packard is registering trademarks and preparing to hit the market with new handheld devices.
Of the trademarks registered, the Zeen appears to be similar to an iPhone or tablet device, capable of “receiving and displaying text and images and sound; computer software for use in transmitting and displaying text, images and sound.” H-P also trademarked similar technology dubbed AirLife, which could be a cloud based service for netbooks, pda’s, cellphones and computers.”

DirecTV is set to launch the first 3D television station in 2010. DirecTV’s 3D experience will be available to customers in March. Users with a 3D enabled High Definition television will be able to view the network after a simple firmware update to their DirecTV box.
